Juvederm® and Radiesse® are Ideal for First-Time Filler Patients

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers are Recommended for First-Time Filler Patients

Because fillers made with hyaluronic acid are usually the most temporary dermal fillers available (lasting from 6 months to a year), they are frequently recommended for individuals who have never had a dermal filler treatment.

Dermal Fillers May Be More Practical than Invasive Cosmetic Surgery

Although cosmetic surgery is an extremely effective technique for reducing the signs of aging, it can be costly and lead to weeks of downtime. This is why the number of people choosing non-surgical anti-aging treatments is on the rise.

These non-surgical methods can achieve comparable results with virtually no downtime. Cosmetic injections are one of the most popular options for reducing the signs of aging. Dr. Charles Dietzek is a Cosmetic Doctor who offers a variety of dermal fillers to his patients at his South Jersey Cosmetic Center.

Each dermal filler has its own benefits in relation to which signs of aging it is best suited to address. Two of the dermal fillers Dr. Dietzek offers his patients are Juvederm® and Radiesse®. Both fillers consist of hyaluronic acid, a substance already found in the human body; therefore, the chance a patient will suffer an allergic reaction is highly unlikely.

Juvederm®

Juvederm® is ideal for addressing deep lines and wrinkles. It is also used for lip enhancement.

Radiesse®

This filler is perfect for individuals who want to address nasolabial folds (smile lines), chin/chin folds, temple, bridge of their noses, temple, marionette lines, or the back of their hands. The solution contains microspheres of calcium hydroxylapatite suspended in a gel-like solution.

How it Works

Throughout the initial three months following treatment, Radiesse® performs like other dermal fillers. Once three months have passed, these microspheres begin stimulating your body to make new collagen. This characteristic allows the results of this filler to last up to two years.

What to Expect During Your Injectable Filler Treatment

The area being treated will be cleaned immediately before Dr. Dietzek performs your treatment. Dr. Dietzek may numb the area with a topical anesthetic. Many dermal fillers themselves already contain lidocaine, which is a mild anesthetic. The lidocaine helps minimize your discomfort during and after the procedure. Depending on the filler used and the treated areas, you may see results immediately. Additionally, immediately following your treatment, you will most likely be able to return to your normal activities.
