ToggleBelotero® is Innovative Because it can Adapt
Belotero® offers unique properties in that it can adapt to the skin. This allows for a soft, even correction.
Belotero® adapts by mixing with the collagen in the skin. This versatility makes it soft enough to treat delicate areas of the face and strong enough for areas in need of deeper treatment.
Unlike BOTOX®, Juvéderm®, Radiesse®, and Belotero® consist of hyaluronic acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring component in the skin of mammals. It combines with the water in the skin to fill in unsightly folds and wrinkles, providing immediate results.
Natural Looking Results
Belotero® smoothes fine lines delicately and evenly, this gives a patient more natural-looking results.
Uses
Belotero® is used to treat various issues, including:
- Crow’s feet
- Fine lines above and below the lips
- Smile lines
- Scarring from acne
- Superficial lines on the neck and face
- Moderate and severe folds and wrinkles
Treatment of Superficial Lines and Wrinkles with Belotero®
Because Belotero® is the softest dermal filler on the market, it is perfect for treating superficial wrinkles and lines on the neck and face. Unlike some of the other fillers available, Belotero® will not cause the Tyndall Effect. The Tyndall Effect refers to the bluish hue that becomes visible when a filler that is too thick is injected near the surface of the skin.
Results
The softness of Belotero® helps it blend seamlessly with facial contours and skin; this instantly diminishes the appearance of fine lines. These results last anywhere from 9 to 12 months. Regular follow-up treatments every 6 to 12 months can offer longer-lasting results.
Preparing for a Belotero® Treatment
To minimize bleeding and bruising, one week before your treatment, avoid taking:
- Aspirin products and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs)
- Fish oil
- St. John’s Wort
- High doses of Vitamin E
Recovery Time
Immediately following your treatment, you may experience:
- Slight redness
- Tenderness
- Inflammation
- Itching
Each of these symptoms is normal, and there is no need for concern. These discomforts generally disappear within a few days. Although most people do not bruise, it does happen. Applying ice on and off for the first 24 hours following your Belotero® Treatment is recommended.
